The Tren Crucero is a luxury journey through Ecuador by train travelling from Quito to Guayaquil (or vv) over four days staying in different properties en route.
The journey includes lots of excursions and activities, visits to National Parks, local markets and craft workshops and the chance of a meeting with Baltazar Ushca the last ice-collector of Chimborazo. The most spectacular section of the railway line between Quito and Guayaquil is the Devil’s Nose, which descends 500m over the course of 12km in a remarkable feat of engineering.
Accommodation is included throughout but for the very best experience we recommend upgrading to stay at some absolutely fabulous hotels and haciendas.
